The first week of May was Tulip Time!
We went down town to enjoy the festivities a couple of times and had a great time. Last year I dutch danced and Makenzie LOVED watching and would even "dance" along.
This year she wasn't so into the dances and content to sit right by Daddy. |
We started Tulip Time with an evening picnic in the park with the family. While we waited for the rest of the family Makenzie kept Daddy busy chasing squirrels up the trees!
After dinner we headed over to watch the little kids dance, the high school and alumni dancers and of course we had to snap a few pictures with the tulips!
This was the cutest little dance I have ever seen!! |
Makenzie's first Elephant Ear! She wasn't so sure what to think of the "elephant" ear.
Photo Op with cousins Zachary, Natalie & Caleb! |
I LOVE THIS PICTURE! |
This too!! |
Later in the week my cousin Kristi from the other side of the state came out! So of course, we headed down town to watch the dancers again and walk around the park checking out more tulips.
The weather was great. The tulips were blooming. You couldn't ask for a
better time. Being in Michigan there are plenty of years were the
tulips haven't bloomed yet or have bloomed and are long gone. This year
everything was right on schedule.
Love the pic of you and Kristi and Makenzie!
