Easter Eggs!

I LOVE dying Easter eggs!  We only did a dozen eggs and it went fast!!!!  I think next year I'll get a dozen of my own to do :0)  Hehe!  We all sure had fund decorating and they all turned out so nice!

Making the dye.

LOL!  Yes she is saying cheese.

Daddy & Makenzie decorating their eggs!

All done!!

I just love how pretty each one turns out!

Have a Happy Easter Weekend!!!

A Trying Week

Boy this week got to me!  What a trying week it was!

Sunday afternoon we dyed our Easter Eggs.  When we were done I had wanted to get a picture of Makenzie with the eggs... she was dinking around with them... not listening... eggs were about to get crushed and fall... I grabbed her off the chair and yanked something in my back.  I had pains going up my back and down my leg.  By that night I could barely walk since I couldn't stand to put any weight on my right leg.  By Monday morning... gone!  Weird.

Monday morning I found out my husbands email was hacked.  I was so stressed that whoever did it would end up getting access to accounts that only Matt and I should know!  (I stress out too easily!)  As of right now, all is good... I think.

Monday afternoon I got a hair cut!  Wonderful!  Two inches cut off!  That's a LOT for me.  That's what I get cut off in a year normally and this was within 2 months.  (Thank you prego vitamins!)

Monday evening Matt and I had a nice dinner together... solo!

Tuesday I had called the Dr questioning them about all the braxton hicks contractions I've been getting... my Dr was double booked, but they fit me in right at the end of the day.  I was a nervous wreck all day!  Everything is fine... I just have to tone down what I am doing.  We're hoping the next apt at 24 weeks the contractions will be coming WAY less frequently.

Making a cotton-ball Bunny!

Me: "Let me see your bunny" M: "K Mom" Me: "Smile!" M:"Cheeeeeeese."

Me: "Smile with your teeth!  Let me see your teeth!" M: "CHEESE!" Me: "I can't see your bunny..."

Wednesday morning we saw that we got our tax refund!  Yay and Boo.  We were shorted a good chunk of money.  Sooooo.... after just over 3 hours on the phone with the IRS I had two different people give me 2 different stories.  But bottom line, no one is sure why we were shorted the money.  Great!  I got transfered to yet another person and sat on hold for an hour and ten mins before I hung up.

By Wednesday night I was exhausted... cranky... at my wits end.  Makenzie had a horrible attitude all week (maybe from not taking naps Sat or Sun?) she wouldn't listen... she would go and hide in places where I couldn't get her out of without moving furniture around.  She'd cry, yell, scream and do the opposite of what I would ask her to do.  Like I said trying week!

Thursday was a new day!  The weather was beautiful!  So Makenzie and I baked a bunch of Easter cookies and cupcakes (LOL... which seriously flopped! That's okay... I can deal with that!)
Perfect!
Hmmm.... at least they will be easier to frost?!?

The perfect job for a two year old!

Just can't help but smile at her!!!

Impatiently waiting for her "happy cakes".

Matt surprised me with news that he scheduled me for a prenatal massage for next week AND a babysitter for the afternoon!!!  I. AM. ESTATIC!!!!!  Holy cow I couldn't get the smile off my face yesterday afternoon.  SO... I headed out to my favorite meat market, bought a couple slabs of NY Strip Steaks and got ready for a super yummy dinner!  (The steaks were AMAZING by the way!)

Soakin' up the Sun in the Sunroom!

Now it's Friday, another beautiful day!  My MIL stopped over just after lunch and the 3 of us headed out for a nice walk.  Makenzie is napping.  My indoor garden is growing!  Life is good!

Our Visiting Bunny!
Matt headed out fishing Saturday morning so Makenzie and I headed to the Critter Barn!
I think we met the Easter Bunny!

Heeelllo!

"My Bunny"
Here's Makenzie just snatching up a bunny all on her own!  I was so afraid she was going to drop it and it would run away!!!

She LOVED holding onto the baby bunnies!!

"Eggs Mama!  Eggs!"

Giving a 4 day old goat it's bottle!!

Some Bunny's looking at you!

We did not go NEAR these cows.  I thought one was dead... but it was breathing!  Makenzie wanted nothing to do with the bigger animals!
We dyed Easter eggs on Sunday!  But I haven't uploaded the pics of that yet :0)

She did it!!!!

Yesterday when Makenzie got up from her nap she had chewed a hole in her LAST "fire" (pacifier).  We didn't want to give it back to her for fear of choking on it... and... it stinks... it's old.... it's gross.  So all night Matt and I told her that her pacifier broke.

We were totally nervous b/c when I tried taking it away from her naps she would cry/ scream for an hour and it would take me forever to get her calmed down, then she would fall asleep on me for like 15 mins and be done.

She didn't cry.  She was up longer than usual... but she didn't cry.

When we went to be we went in and checked on her and she popped right up with a big beautiful smile asking for a drink, then went back to sleep.

She didn't wake up crying for it like she did the other night.

She slept all night without her fire!!!!!!

Woot Woot!!

Now to potty train and big girl bed before #2 gets here :0)  (We'll see... I bet this good luck won't last long!)

Our Ultrasound

I was waiting to do this ultrasound post because I had wanted to wait until we had heard back from the Dr.  We had our 20 week apt with him this past Friday, so here's the scoop!

First off, we had the most awesome ultrasound technician!  She was such a hoot.  She is currently prego with her 3rd baby and what fun to be pregnant and an ultrasound technician!  So this woman has spent LOTS of time ultrasounding herself which made her an expert to us.

We got to sit and watch the baby for about an hour.  And there were times in the ultrasound that the technician got just the best views of this baby an we would just sit and admire.  The room was silent besides a few "awws" here and there from one of the three of us.  (Three: Matt, Me, Tech)  We got such a great view of the baby's face!  It didn't look all skeletony or alien looking... we could see the actual baby!  (We were all too busy watching that we didn't get any pictures.)

We could see the baby's eyes opening and closing, looking from side to side.

We could see the baby opening and closing it's mouth and swallowing.

We could see the baby take a breath here and there.

And best part... we got to see the baby yawn!!

I didn't know the babies did all of that!!  I was totally in awe.  Yes we had an ultrasound of Makenzie, but we had an intern doing it and just didn't get the footage that we got with this one.  It was JUST incredible.  Matt and I walked out of there just happy.  Right down to the core.  Babies are incredible!

I hadn't been feeling good that day and when the tech started doing the ultrasound it got a bit uncomfy for me.  And she told me I was having Braxton Hicks!  Did you know you could see that on the ultrasound!?!?  Crazy.  And Crazy to see what it does to the baby.  There is a pic posted below.

At our 20 week Dr's apt he said that the baby's growth is right on track.  (With Makenzie they gave us another due date that was about 16 days earlier.)  Again, the baby is measuring on the above average side (thank you Matthew) and the head is in the 80% (MATTHEW!!!!).  Maybe by time the baby is born the head's growth will average out??  Here's hoping!

We DO have to go back for another ultrasound in a few weeks.  They found 3 cyst on the baby's brain... we were told that this is very normal and most babies get it but it's just not caught on the ultrasound.  The scoop with that is the fluid that is in your brain doubles and triples so quickly that these cyst are formed.  Once the fluid evens out the cyst go away.  So at 24 weeks we will check to see if they are still there... if they are we want them to be smaller.  Then we will check again at 28 weeks and hope they are gone.  So, wait and see.  The Doctor said not to lose a wink of sleep over this!

Okay!  So we won't.  We are hoping at 24 weeks the cyst are gone and are very excited to see the baby again.  In fact next ultrasound we will bring Makenzie with!

It's.... Monday!

Wow did I have a lot to do in a little period of time this AM and Makenzie & I did it!!

We started the day with some yummy bowls of cereal and then got ready to go to a playgroup.  I was a tad stretched for time.  I hadn't totally finished my grocery list from the night before or got all my coupons arranged.  So once I did all that I hopped in the shower and we were off.

What. Crappy. Weather.  Super windy, sleety, COLD... 28 degrees the car read.  With the wind it felt even colder.

As usual Makenzie has a blast playing at all the different stations the playgroup has to offer.  We read a story (and get to take it home), go down a slide, thru a tunnel, play in rice, glue shapes, play in foam shapes, balloons, and a snack (which I stay extremely far away from...germaphobe I know)!  Endless fun for a 2 year old!  There were a lot of people there and I lucked out with the outfit i put her in, because it made her super easy to keep track of while all the kids were running around with Mom's trying to keep up.

At this station, Makenzie was playing with a shovel and a little boy came and grabbed it right out of her hands.  I said: No don't do that... she had it first.  You can play with a different shovel.  He turned and looked at me and said: No!  I'm bigger than her.  LOL!  The nerve!!  I said Sorry, that's rude.  And took the shovel from him and gave it back to Makenzie!  His face was priceless.... obviously he gets what he wants at home.

Right after clean up time we snuck out before everyone else to start our shopping adventure.  Since I'm back to doing the 2 week menu I go to 2 stores.  And I had about an hour and a half before nap time and we needed to squeeze lunch in there.  So it was GO time.

It wasn't fun, but we got all the shopping done, groceries put away, belly's fed, and Miss Makenzie is sleeping soundly!  Success!

Wipey, Windy, Watery Wednesday

Today has not gone as planned.  As a mom you learn that your days rarely go as planned when there are kids running around.  Normally I'm okay with that... but I am BUMMED.  Most of this winter has been spent in this house due to the morning sickness, and then winter really hit- Keeping us in too.  I want out now!  I want spring to come so we can at least play outside, not have to worry about how the roads are or be sick!  I want sunshine, the beach, the parks... I just want outside!!  Not today tho... it is WINDY and COLD and yes, the snow is BACK!!  LOL!

Makenzie got up this morning sneezing quite a bit and had a runny nose.  I thought I would still bring her to our playgroup.  But... as the morning went on and we were about ready to go she just got worse and worse and I decided it would be best to just keep our germs to ourselves.  Dang!

Instead we spent most of the morning wiping her nose and her eyes.  Her eyes are SO watery it looks like she's constantly crying.  So we spent some time watching cartoons (which happened to be outdoor themed), played cars, and looking at all the animals in Daddy's magazines.

This afternoon I have spent wandering around the house looking for something to do...something fun!  (Don't get me wrong I have LOTS of housework I could do... but I don't want to...not fun!)  So I decided to head to the basement and take a peek at our dirt.
Anyone recognize that face??

See that green ball on the left!!!  That was a seed yesterday!!!

And here's the garden!  :0)

More seeds!
I'm calling you out Matt!!  My husband thinks I'm a total dork doing this.  But I think it's fun!!  And SEE!?!?  They are actually growing!!!  (Well... 2 seeds at least... but that's a start.)  And he thinks it's dorky, but he's been down stairs trying to make a "greenhouse" atmosphere for this.

(I think somebody is starting to get into it!)

Lindsay's Wedding

Here are the wedding pics from a few weekends ago.  (Some of these pictures didn't turn out so well... but I didn't have my camera, so that's just what happens!)
The walk down the isle didn't go quite as planned!
Nor did the drop off!  Makenzie wanted Daddy, not Mommy!  So I drug her over to where we were suppose to stand and quick fished out the raisins out of the flower basket!
PHOTO BOMB!!!  Haha!!  Makenzie took off with Grandma's walker!!  What a HOOT!!!
Okay... Raisins in hand... plopped down on the step!  We are happy!
